But building a robust talent pipeline is complex work. Most local employers already have job postings. What was missing was a better way to consolidate those postings and ensure that people looking to move into the region had a clear path into the community.
Brianna Mosier, Executive Director of Education and Talent, shared her vision for the Group. “We’re not a staffing agency. Our goal is to make warm introductions between job seekers and employers—and to support the whole person in making the decision to stay, return, or relocate here.”
Before Getro, Flint & Genesee Education Talent was doing everything manually. Staff combed through employer websites, updated spreadsheets, and tried to keep up with job openings the best they could.
“It was time-consuming. Our Chamber division had its own job board, but it relied on members logging in, posting jobs, and taking them down again. That just didn’t happen consistently.” Brianna shares.
With Getro’s automated job board, Flint & Genesee Education & Talent was able to aggregate postings from across the region without needing their Chamber members to lift a finger. Jobs now appear automatically, and filters allow candidates to sort by experience level, salary range, or industry. This has helped support both external talent considering a move and current residents who might otherwise search on national job sites and leave the region.
“We wanted to give people a reason to stay. Or to come back. Or to make Flint their new home.”
Brianna and the team at Flint & Genesee Education & Talent also needed a way to support the region’s efforts to host economically transformative projects – the kind that would bring thousands of new jobs to the community.“We knew we couldn’t wait until the jobs arrived to start showing we had the workforce. We needed to begin rebuilding that pipeline now, and Getro is helping us do that.”

Brianna sees Getro as a real opportunity for smaller chambers and EDOs to punch above their weight. Flint & Genesee Education & Talent implemented Getro's job board platform in December 2024 to address these challenges and enhance their talent attraction strategy.
Rather than replacing their custom CRM built with partner RoleCall, the organization strategically integrated Getro as a complementary tool. They maintained their personalized approach while gaining the efficiency of an automated job aggregation system.

The platform allows both internal staff and job seekers to filter opportunities by experience level, salary range, and industry, making it easier to match candidates with appropriate positions.
"It's been huge. It's been a huge time saver," Mosier noted, highlighting how the platform has freed up staff time for higher-value activities.
Getro has become a powerful tool for demonstrating value to Chamber members and attracting investment in workforce development initiatives. Meanwhile, Brianna and her team can now quickly provide comprehensive job listings to talent prospects, supporting both their outbound marketing efforts and inbound inquiries.

Getro enables the team to add value in state-level initiatives. Flint & Genesee Education & Talent work closely with Michigan's statewide talent attraction campaign, providing regional job opportunities to prospects who express interest in the Detroit-Flint-Grand Rapids corridor. While Michigan focuses heavily on mobility, EV, and semiconductor industries, the platform helps the organization showcase opportunities across all sectors.
